Barker are a mens shoe maker (and a few ladies styles) and come from the shoe-making capital of the world in Northamptonshire. The area has a very proud footwear heritage and sells millions of pounds of shoes all over the world each year. Barkers mens shoes are made using carefully selected leathers  and the uppers are still shaped by hand.

Over 130 years of shoe making experience

Barker were founded in 1880 therefore have well over 130 years of shoe making experience. The founder Arthur Barker was a skilled craftsman and innovator, pioneering a unique style of waterproofing boots which later led to securing contracts to supply the British army with boots during the First World War.

With Barker you are guaranteed a genuine high quality and fantastic style. The current barker factory was custom built and designed to make fine English shoes, it stands just a few yards away from the original founding factory.  The company employ a highly skilled local labour pool.
